Mr. Bjorneberg

Hi, my name is Phil Bjorneberg.  I'm a Sioux Falls native and graduated from Washington High School in 1981. I graduated from Black Hills State College in Spearfish, South Dakota in 1986 with a Composite Social Studies Education major and an athletic coaching minor.  My one and only teaching job has been here at Parker, starting in the fall of 1986.

I was 3rd team all-state in basketball as a senior in high school and was a four-time major letter winner in both basketball and track at BHSC.

I have had many coaching highlights in my 30+ years at PHS:

  • Class-B cross-country State Champions in 2010, 2011, and 2012
  • Class-B Track and Field Combined Team Champions in 2013
  • Class-B Boys Track and Field State Champions in 2014
  • Class-B Boys Outstanding Field Athlete in 2016 (Zack Anderson)
  • Class-B Girls Outstanding Track Athlete in 2017 (Karley Peters)

My interests include reading, listening to and collecting music, traveling, and golfing.  I was married to my wife Jennifer in 1993 and we live in Sioux Falls.
