    4-Day School Week

    The Parker School District employs a 4-day week school year. Weeks consist of regular full school days, Monday through Thursday. Most Fridays entail student-help sessions in the morning and teacher in-service in the afternoon. Feedback has been very positive from staff, students, and parents. Teachers make the most of the student-help day on Fridays, meeting with students who need additional help. This time allows staff to focus specifically on areas students struggle with throughout the week. The students enjoy the Friday morning help sessions as well as they can get the one on one time/small group help they need to understand the concepts and/or to make up tests and assignments.
