Mrs. Christiansen is originally from Iowa, where she graduated from Harris-Lake Park School District in Lake Park, Iowa, in 2000. She went to college at the University of South Dakota where she obtained her bachelor's in Special Education and Elementary Education in 2006. Janna has been teaching special education since 2007.

Mrs. Christiansen and her husband Trevor moved to Parker in 2007 when she started teaching. They currently have three boys, Caleb, Noah and Andrew, who all attend the Parker School District. Janna loves living in Parker and is even more excited to be teaching in the district. She looks forward to working with all of the students and getting to know more Parker families.
