Greetings! My name is Laura Au, and I am excited to be Parker's new HS English teacher. Growing up in Elk Point, SD, I developed a fondness for smalltown living. I graduated high school from Dakota Valley, and I obtained my bachelor's degree in English for Information Systems from Dakota State University. I have a Master's in Education from the University of Sioux Falls. Over the years, I have worked as an assistant manager, buyer, freelance writer, and stay-at-home parent. My husband, Dave, and I have lived in swamp country, Louisiana and Minneapolis, Minnesota; we came back to "the best state in the best country," as Dave likes to say, to raise our two sons, Harrison and Abel. We currently reside in Tea, SD. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, reading, writing, trying new foods, and catching creatures with my boys.
