Mrs. Tammy Steiner

Mrs. Steiner has lived in Parker since 1988. During her years at Parker Elementary she has taught 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th grades. This is her 10th year in the Title I program.  Prior to coming to Parker she taught 3rd grade in Hoven, SD and K-12 Vocal Music at the Deubrook School District in White/Toronto, SD.

After graduating from high school in Lake Preston, SD, Mrs. Steiner graduated from SDSU in Brookings with a Bachelor of Music Education major and a minor in Business. She received her Elementary Education degree from DSU in Madison.

Mrs. Steiner lives with her husband Wes on an acreage east of Parker. Wes has retired as the Ag Education teacher at Parker High School after 26 years.  He is currently a rural mail carrier and a bus driver for the Parker School District.   They are the parents of 3 daughters and have 5 wonderful grandchildren.   Michelle and Shawn are the parents of 4 year old twins named Harper and Hudson.  They welcomed a new daughter Haddie Jo in May.  They  live in Sioux Falls.  Michelle is a CNP and Shawn a Civil Engineer.  Nichole, Zachary and their children Annelie and Anelson live in Sioux Falls.  Nichole is a Special Education Teacher with the Harrisburg School District and Zachary is a technology wiz with his own business called Cell Phone Medics and works for Best Buy.  Brooke also lives in Sioux Falls.  She just accepted a position with the Harrisburg School District in a resource room. 

In her spare time, Mrs. Steiner enjoys spending time on her pontoon and with her family.  She also enjoys music, reading, and has learned patience watching the Minnesota Vikings.
