FCCLA
About FCCLA
Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America is a student organization that puts family at its center that will build leadership skills through its various programs. FCCLA is for any student who is interested in making a difference in their family and community as they learn great leadership skills.
Becoming a member is easy. Any student can join in on any of the events and programs we hold through FCCLA and be a member at any degree. Students simply start coming to meetings and signing up for events!
Students have a great opportunity to meet other members from across the state. We attend Fall Leadership, Regions, and State and host several chapter events throughout the year.
The best thing about FCCLA is hanging out with Ms. Lauesen. :) But also, FCCLA allows you to get involved in your community and learning new leadership skills.
My favorite quote is by Elise De Wolfe.
"I am going to make everything around me beautiful - that will be my life."
This speaks volumes to me because when everything around me is beautiful, I feel like I'm doing my job as an advisor, teacher, and human being and being someone who others need. That's what leadership is about. It's about respecting yourself, others, and taking responsibility for your actions. By no means does that make us perfect, because we will make mistakes, but when you show up every day and you do everything in your power, that's what matters.
FFA
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. The Parker FFA members work hard throughout the year on various Leadership and Career-focused activities. The members are very active in the community and work to help with anything that is asked of them! If you have a community project or activity and you would like help from the Parker FFA Members, contact Mrs. Dunkelberger at the school.
Math Club
NHS - National Honor Society
NHS is a great program that engages students in the school and community. I'm proud to be a part of the program and help my school and community with every opportunity I get. I think it is a great honor to receive the opportunity to be a member of NHS. Jevin Erickson, NHS Member

Quiz Bowl
Advisors:
"I enjoy doing quiz bowl because it's a way I can use and share the knowledge I possess. The single best reason for doing quiz bowl is to hang out with your friends, and be on a team with them at the meets." Jonas Sattler, 10th Grade
Quiz bowl is open to all students in grades 7-12 and for any student who likes trivia. Practices are held during lunch/homeroom times. The quiz bowl team competes in various local competitions. In 2022, the Radio Quiz Bowl Team received 2nd place.
Student Council
Yearbook
Advisor:
Yearbook is a group of students that take part in commemorating the best moments of events, activities, and achievements that occurred over the course of a school year.
- Yearbook is for any student in grades 7-12 interested in photography, web design, creative writing/editing, or anyone simply looking to try something new!
- Yearbook signup begins in the fall, at the beginning of the school year. Simply let Mrs. Angelo know you are interested.
- Yearbook can offer students a range of valuable skills. Students can develop their photography skills, enhance their writing and editing skills, learn to work as a team and communicate effectively to meet deadlines.
I joined yearbook in 8th grade and have loved it since I started. I thought that being a part of the yearbook team would be a great way to be active in the school and it truly has been a great way to get involved. I love the creative freedom behind it and I also love the opportunity to capture the high school experience. I have loved this opportunity and hope to see more people joining the yearbook team in the future. Tanya Netesov, yearbook member
