Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy revolves around what coaches are to their student-athletes. They are teachers, leaders, counselors, disciplinarians, but most of all they are role models. I try my hardest to be all of these and more. Will I fall short sometimes, yes, but that is another lesson I try to impart on my players. We make mistakes, but we must try to learn from them and get better every day.

I want to build a program that encompasses teaching my athletes that all the lessons they can learn on the field can be transferred to their daily lives and their futures. I want my program to reflect greatness in aspects of improvement. Not every high school team will be great in general terms, but they can be great at getting better!

Parker Wrestling focuses on helping our student athletes become well rounded, disciplined, contributing members of society. We expect nothing short of their best efforts in practice, competition and the classroom. My philosophy is “have fun!” If you are not having fun, then you are not doing it right. Golf is a sport that can be played in any stage of your life not just in high school or college. Doesn’t matter if you’re 8 or 80 you can play golf. It is definitely a sport that you will love to hate and will challenge you mentally. It is just an all-around great time. Coach Weiler
