My name is Amy Johnson and I am honored to serve as the Superintendent of the Parker School District. As a proud graduate of Parker High School, I am excited to return to the community that helped shape my professional journey in education. My family and I are grateful for the opportunity to give back to the school district that laid the foundation for my career in education.

Beginning my 20th year in education, I bring a wealth of experience to the district, including seven years as a classroom teacher and 12 years as a principal in school districts of varying sizes across South Dakota. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Augustana University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Dakota, a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Sioux Falls, and most recently, a Doctorate in Leadership from the University of Sioux Falls.

I am passionate about education and committed to helping all students achieve success. My leadership philosophy is grounded in servant leadership, collaboration, and visibility. I believe strong schools are built through positive relationships and open communication, and I welcome partnerships with students, staff, families, and community members. My door is always open as I strive to work alongside others to provide the best possible educational experience for every student.

My husband, Greg, and I have four children: Gavin (15), Grady (13), Avery (10), and Audrey (6). Together, we are excited to be part of the Parker community and look forward to contributing to the continued success of the Parker School District.
